In the course of recent weeks, photos of a mainstream Lagos street started showing up on social media in various and vivid fine arts with the hashtag #EKOTAG. As it turns out, Lagos is getting a facelift and the brains behind this procedure is graffiti artist, OSA Seven.  Bystanders have been captivated by the art OSA is creating at the EKO TAG area as they take to instagram to share photographs and footages when they spot the #EKOTAG and sometimes they even observe OSA painting progress up close.

  Gbenga Ogundele aka Benson Ogundele, 58, of Laurel, Maryland has been sentenced to 234 months in prison over conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering arising from a scheme to defraud vulnerable victims of millions of dollars. Ogundele’s wife Moji Popoola, aka Mojisola Oluwakemi Tin Popoola/Moji T. Popoola, 42, also of Laurel, was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Both sentences will be followed by three years of supervised release.

A 48-year-old woman, Doreen Kumar has been accused of hiring contract killers to murder her  54-year-old husband whom she saw as a “serial philanderer”. She paid them Rs 2 lakh upfront  and offered a further Rs 28 lakh after the killing. Kumar, a resident of Jogupalya in Halasuru, India, has been arrested, along with four suspected assassins, for the gruesome murder of her moneylender husband, G Kumar.

Godwin Obuah, former chief security officer to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, is dead. According to TheCable, Obuah died at the National Hospital, Abuja, after suffering a “massive heart attack”.

A Detroit-area doctor has been charged with performing genital mutilation on two young girls from Minnesota. Prosecutors say Dr. Jumana Nagarwala 44, of Northville, Michigan, was arrested Thursday, few days after two 7-year-old girls identified her as the person who performed medical procedures of Female genital mutilation(female circumcision) on them at a Livonia clinic in February of this year. The FBI says the girls were accompanied to the clinic by their mothers.

A church for marijuana lovers is planning its official grand opening in Denver, Colorado on April 20 (world weed day). The new church known as International Church of Cannabis has taken over a former Christian church building and claims to be the first large venue in the world where cannabis can be legally consumed in a social environment. The church says it will "offer a home to adults everywhere who are looking to create the best version of themselves by way of the sacred plant." Members of the church call themselves Elevationists, founding member Steve Berke through the church's website said: "Our lifestance is that an individual’s spiritual journey, and search for meaning, is one of self-discovery that can be accelerated with ritual cannabis use. Jennifer Garner has officially filed for divorce from her husband of 12 years, Ben Affleck. Ben Affleck also submitted an identical response to Jen's and it seems their divorce will be amicable. The petition and response were filed together, which means it was coordinated. The couple announced their separation in June 2015 but got back together for the sake of their children to try to work things out, but it looks like they couldn't work things out. According to TMZ, the couple filed for divorce without using a lawyer, and they are asking for joint legal and physical custody of their three children. There is no specified request for spousal support, they both left  open, which means a judge could award it before the divorce is finalized.

The Abia State Police Command have arrested one Chibueze Nwaozuzu of Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area of the state for allegedly stealing a 6-year-old boy. The suspect sold the child to one Comfort Umunnake, who was also arrested and the victim recovered from her. Nwaozuzu was nabbed following a report received of the missing 6 years old child identified as Chinecherem Anoruo. The suspect made useful statements to the police confessing to the crime stating that he stole the child and sold the child to Umunnakwe for the sum of two hundred thousand (N200, 000.00) Naira. The sum of eighty-three thousand (83, 000.00) Naira being part of the proceeds of the sale of the child was also recovered from Chibueze Nwaozuzu. Investigation is ongoing and suspects would be charged to court accordingly.
