Popular CNN presenter, Richard Quest of Quest Means Business has been in Lagos, Nigeria on a media tour for the past few days. In some tweets shared via his page, he described Nigerian Youths in glowing terms and how people are succeeding despite the government's shortcomings. According to him; "There's no shortage of entrepreneurs in Nigeria. No shortage of drive or ambition. People are succeeding inspite of the government not because of it. The youth of Nigeria are the country's secret weapon. I've been impressed with the young people I've met here. Nigeria will have the largest, most intelligent work force in the world, but needs to get its act together."

                                China on Friday praised US president Donald Trump's snub of Taiwan, noting that observers had called his decision not to take a second call from the island's president a "slap in the face". Trump rattled China in December after taking a congratulatory call from the self-ruling island's new Beijing-sceptic president  Tsai Ing-wen  after his election, smashing decades of diplomatic precedent. But after Tsai suggested another call could take place in an interview with Reuters Thursday, Trump said he did not want to risk his newfound  "personal relationship"  with China's president  Xi Jinping. "I think he's doing an amazing job as a leader and I wouldn't want to do anything that comes in the way of that. So I would certainly want to speak to him first,"  Trump told Reuters in a separate interview.

                          Macedonia's rival political parties traded blame Friday for an eruption of violence in the unstable Balkan country's parliament which left scores of people injured. The chaos in  Skopje  broke out on Thursday evening, with dozens of nationalist demonstrators -- including a group of masked men -- breaking a police cordon and storming parliament in anger over a vote for a new speaker, an ethnic Albanian. Footage from the scene showed chairs being thrown as fistfights broke out in the parliamentary press room, while  Zoran Zaev , leader of the opposition  Social Democrats (SDSM) , had blood running down his face and shirt. The violence, which was condemned by the European Union and the  United States , follows two years of political crisis in the country of about two million people.

A Nigerian man identified as Chinedu Eze Tony, was shot dead by some unknown gunmen at Belleville, Cape Town in South Africa yesterday April 25th. Eze who is said to be a self employed cellular and electronics vendor, is an indigene of Umuchu in Aguata LGA in Anambra State. He is survived by a daughter named Ijeoma. The victim, Mongy Mathobela, wrote: “I’m a visitor in Nigeria. I went to the bank to  withdraw money in Lekki, so he saw the money that I had it in my bag. . At least 27 people have been confirmed dead following a head on collision between a bus and a truck at Kambu along Mombasa-Nairobi highway, Kenya. The grisly accident happened in the early hours of today around  2a.m. According to the area OCPD Leonard Kimaiyo, the accident involved a bus that was bound to Malindi belonging to Buscar Company, and a oil tanker that was headed to Nairobi from Mombasa. According to a report shared on Adovate group, Due Process' Facebook page by Prince Abubakar Aphyz, a violent  husband battered his wife, Mrs Ntienseobot Anietimfon Ekere with hammer and threw her out in the middle of the night. A Nigerian man who allegedly duped a number of banks out of more than $100,000 faced a federal judge last Friday, April 21, after being arrested on April 10 by agents from the Department of Homeland Security and charged on four federal criminal charges. Opeyemi Abdulahi Orekan, resident of Rhode Island was involved in an organized fraud ring that used fake passports from Nigeria and Ghana and fraudulent identities to defraud a number of banks out of tens of thousands of dollars. The federal government is charging him with bank fraud, passport fraud, identity theft and access device fraud.

According to Ifeanyi Okali Ubaka who published the post on Facebook yesterday: "This incident happened yesterday at Amaoba Village in Ikwuano LGA, Abia state.  Two brothers from the same village Amaoba, fights over a girl friend. I gathered that the young man lying dead, started the fight by hitting his brother, asking why he choose to go out with his girl friend,not knowing that his brother was prepared for him. Actress Erin Moran, who was famous on TV from the late '60s to the mid-'80s and best known for her kid-sister role in the sitcom "Happy Days," She was 56.   The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said authorities in Indiana found her body  on Saturday  afternoon April 22nd after getting a 911 call at  4:07 p.m.  for an unresponsive female. In a statement released, the department said, 'Upon the arrival, it was determined that the female was Erin Marie Moran-Fleischmann. First responders determined that she was deceased and an autopsy is pending'.

North Korea has threatened to hit Australia with a nuclear strike if it continues to follow the United States. The stern warning comes after Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said on Thursday that North Korea would be hit with further Australian sanctions as a clear message that its behaviour will not be tolerated. Ms Bishop also called on China to do more to pressure North Korea into getting rid of its hostile and aggressive ways and dumping its nuclear warheads and ballistic missile program.
