A very young and beautiful official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has written on her Facebook page, some common misconceptions about women in Uniform. She wrote;

             A baby was rescued at GRA Benin-City, Edo state and was discovered to be HIV-Positive. He was apparently abandoned by his mother. Facebook User,  Cecilia James  who shared the photos, claimed the mother dropped a note to indicate that her child was born with HIV. Cecelia wrote;

31 year old, Mrs Esther Jegede and her set of triplets pictured above are currently being held at the prenatal ward of Ayoradex Hospital, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State, for failing to offset their N200,000 medical bill. Mrs Jegede gave birth to her set of triplets, two girls and a boy, on June 6th and have been detained at the hospital over unpaid medical bills. She gave birth through Cesarean section.

Britain and the European Union will start Brexit negotiations on Monday, while Prime Minister Theresa May nears a deal to prop up her minority government following her election fiasco. Brexit talks had been expected to begin in Brussels next week but May's loss of her parliamentary majority in a snap general election one week ago raised doubts about the date. "The first round of talks that will see the United Kingdom leave the European Union will start on Monday June 19,"  the Department for Exiting the European Union ministry said on Thursday. The announcement was agreed on Thursday between Brexit minister David Davis and the European Commission's chief negotiator  Michel Barnier .

Christopher Jabu Kubheka, popularly known as 'Gunman' on South African drama series 'Yizo Yizo' was  on Monday  afternoon found dead in his home in Soshanguve, Pretoria. Jabu's manager Thabo Makgaretsa confirmed the sad news to TshisaLIVE, saying Jabu's wife found his unresponsive body in their family home and called for help. Police spokesperson, Captain Mavela Masondo, also confirmed reports that the actor was found hanging from a butler door in his home 

A few weeks ago, twitter user @samuel_face2 toook to his timeline to appeal to Nigerians to help him raise money to pay for his school fees. Sympathetic Nigerians reached out to him, asked for his account number and then sent him some money. However after receiving the money, he would block his donors and refuse to correspond with them further. He would also slide into peoples DM to ask them for money. He then blocks whoevers turns him down as well as those who obliged him by sending some money.  Apparently he came online recently with a different handle to still ask for donations for his school fees.  This time around, he was caught by twitter user @duchesskk who has had an encounter with him.  @duchesskk called him out and shared some  proof that he indeed is a fraudster. The Adamawa state government says Boko Haram members have initiated a new tactic to carry out their evil attacks. Speaking at a press conference in Yola the state capital yesterday, the state commissioner for information, Ahmad Sajoh, said the terrorists now pretend to be epileptic patients before blowing up themselves and attacking their victims. Sajoh says residents of the state must be wary of this new tactic and be extra vigilant.

LONDON — UK consumer spending fell on an annual basis for first time in four years as inflation driven by the Brexit vote pushes up prices, according to payment card company Visa. It measured that real consumer spending on Visa debit, credit, and pre-paid cards in May was 0.8% lower than in the same month last year. The figures indicate that Britain's sluggish economic growth in the first quarter — when it grew at the slowest rate in the G7 group — continued into the second quarter of the year.

Some Democrats are calling on President Donald Trump to testify under oath after his personal attorney suggested that fired FBI Director James Comey lied under oath and Trump tweeted Friday that Comey's hearing was a "total and complete vindication" in spite of "so many false statements and lies." Comey's statements — lying under oath would constitute a federal crime — carry more legal weight than those of Trump and his team, since they are not under oath. That provided the inspiration for a few Democratic senators to suggest that Trump testify under oath.

The Akwa Ibom government on Friday pledged to create an enabling environment for artists to showcase and promote their works in the state. Gov. Udom Emmanuel gave the pledged when he declared open an exhibition of contemporary Nigerian Arts and Crafts tagged, “‘Usoro Uso’ Celebrating Creativity in Akwa Ibom’’in Uyo. He assured that the state “will create that sense of belief in our people and a platform for them to express the artistic gifts to wider experience and audience.”

Ugandan billionaire educationist and founder of St Lawrence schools, Prof Lawrence Mukiibi was laid to rest on Friday, June 1st in his ancestral home at Katenden. He died at the age of 71. However, one small event left mourners and Ugandans in shock...the number of his children, whom he had outside wedlock as he had no official wife. Those in attendance counted over 30 children of the deceased, some of them as young as few months. Reports claims that he fathered more than 80 kids from his students.   In an April 2016 interview with NBS Television, when asked the number of his children, Prof. Mukiibi said: "It is a taboo to ask an African man how many children he has, especially a man of my age. President Donald Trump’s son, Eric in a TV appearance  on Tuesday  reacted over the ongoing probe of his father's presidential campaign saying that the Democrats who are in support of the investigation are ‘not even people'. "I've never seen hatred like this, and to me they're not even people," he said in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity.
