Mother of late Super Eagles great Rashidi Yekini has won N2m from a popular game show, ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’.
Alhaja Sikirat Yekini is the mother of former Super Eagles striker, Yekini who scored 37 goals in 58 appearances for the Super Eagles and died in May 2012 at the age of 48.
Since the death of the former striker, his aged mother has been faced with well-publicised financial difficulties.
Organisers of the ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ show gave her a chance to compete at the show.
She was supported by Dejumo Lewis and Binta Ayo Mogaji at the annual special edition tagged “Who Deserves to Be a Millionaire?”
The N2m will go a long way in easing some of the difficulties she has faced since the passing of her son.
In January 2016 revealed that he has nobody to call for help since her son died.
“Rashidi was the glory of the family, and all the family benefited from him when he was alive,” Sikiratu told Naij in an interview.
