The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has called on the attention of the general public to beware of any recruitment announcement or invitation for interviews as its organization is not employing at the moment.
The warning to the general public comes after fake recruitments scams have been hovering around all social media platforms this year.
In a statement by its Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, on Friday, the NNPC said:
'We are constrained to announce, once again, that NNPC is not recruiting at the moment.
'Members of the public are, therefore, advised to disregard any vacancy announcement on any online or social media platform as they are the handiwork of fraudsters intent on fleecing innocent Nigerians.'
Exposing the antics of the scammers, NNPC said they had now applied several means to pull off their scam, including sending text messages and sending out 'forged letters inviting gullible job seekers for non-existing job interviews”.
'Anyone who entertains such invitations or deals with peddlers of such invitation does so at his or her own risk,’ the NNPC warned.
